Bill Dickerson is planning on a winter get together on February 4. The event will feature great chilli, and discussions on rebuilding the fleet. If interested give Bill a call.
I am also trying to promote the 13-1/2' catboat, a Wood Pussy on Long Island Sound to restore a weekend racing fleet, probably on the South Shore of LI where there are already 4-5 WP's sailing. I have a August 1945 WP that I am restoring & Mark Angliss in Colorado is building new cold molded WP's. The first one arrived in Northport yesterday, 'Simba', & can be viewed sometime in January. There also used to be a fleet on Shelter Island & many WP's were built there by Walter Brigham & are still sailing @ the YC. The web sites are listed below.
Some of the history of my WP is on the uswpca web site in the forum section. Last summer we traveled to 4th Lake in the Adirondacks to view the Island where the camp was located.
